When refuse in a landfill decomposes, landfill gas is generated. This type of gas is composed of approximately 55% methane, with the remaining constituents consisting primarily of carbon dioxide and trace amounts of additional organic gases.
As a nationwide company with installations across the United States, Landmarc Environmental Systems, LLC is available to construct a landfill gas collection system for your plant or property. The construction of a landfill gas collection system begins with the drilling and installation of wells, followed by the installation of pipelines. Upon pipeline installation completion, gas compressor stations, flaring stations, and scrubbing and treatment stations are constructed by our team of environmental professionals.
Collection systems for landfill gas are designed to prevent the migration of methane and other gases into the atmosphere and adjacent structures. If this migration were to occur, the risk of explosion, fire and/or health hazards become present. Landfill gas recovered from landfills are either flared or developed as an alternative energy source.
Landmarc’s Landfill Gas Drilling Division crews continue to set and exceed the industry standard for drilling and installation of landfill gas/leachate collection wells. Landmarc Environmental Systems, LLC is fully equipped to complete landfill gas/leachate drilling projects in difficult environments including side slope well completion with minimal damages.
