Mr. Rau serves as Managing Principal of Landmarc Environmental Systems providing leadership to all service verticals including LFG Construction, Leachate System Construction and Maintenance, and OM&M Services. He has over 15 years of experience in Landfill Construction, currently overseeing Landmarc’s North American operations. This includes numerous active sites, coast-to-coast, with over 100 crewmembers in the field and 20 professionals across 8 office locations.
Select Project Experience
Mr. Rau was responsible for overseeing a project for the City of Arlington with multiple parties involved, such as the City of Arlington, Republic, Renovar, Weaver Consultants Group, and SCS. Adaptable project management and coordination was required to ensure the project finished on schedule and on budget.
Mr. Rau was responsible for overseeing day to day operations of a landfill gas drilling project that included 2,700 FT of drilling in Lincoln, NE. With this work came installation of thousands of feet of header and lateral gas piping, along with various tie ins to the existing system. The project required coordination with the state, city, and engineer to ensure all parties were satisfied with the completion of the work.
Mr. Rau worked with Republic on expanding the gas system at FWSE Landfill, in Fort Worth, TX. Multiple odor complaints had been sent into the client regarding landfill gas odor emissions. Mr. Rau oversaw the installation of 20+ landfill gas extraction wells, along with the installation of 36” and 24” header pipe, 6” and 8” laterals, and horizontal collector piping. Landmarc also installed a new flare system at FWSE in a timely and cost-effective manner. All this was done in a very short time frame, in order to mitigate further complaints from the sites neighbors and help reduce odors.
Republic had a slope that was experiencing slope failure and needed to be stabilized. Landmarc was on site a week after being made aware of the situation with a drill rig, haul truck, excavator, and crew. Landmarc was able to install 5 dewatering wells in a safe and efficient manner, allowing the slope to become more stable and safer for everyone involved.
Mr. Rau was instrumental in coordinating with crews and re-arranging schedules to make sure the client’s needs were met. This was accomplished while promoting a safe work environment for his crew and the client.
